The ‘Moira’ collection - meaning lake or sea- is a depiction of my water country. Through my eyes, the shades of blue and black running water, rock pools, waterholes, riverbanks, ocean and land. I consider wearing a piece of this collection as a sign that you understand the importance of the connection between aboriginal culture and the ocean/ water. There is and has always been a strong connection, for my ancestors and for people in Indigenous culture today that links their souls to the sea, lakes, rivers and waterholes.
